UNDER THE BLANKET
A bed is something that guards us during sleep. A blanket is an object that harbors us, forms our shell. The blanket hides us under itself. The bed conceals what is beneath it. The hidden object becomes especially desirable to us. We want to remove all layers of protection and to comprehend the hidden.
When we try to remove the shell, to get to what it hides, we face a paradox. The disclosure of the object doesn't give us an understanding of it. In the process of disclosure it is not what is hidden that becomes important. The important thing is that it was hidden. This is the essence and significance of the shell. In the absence of the cover, the object under it isn't revealed to us. The presence of the hidden makes the object whole.
